Conditions of effective and efficient coal winning by the longwall mining system

SUMMARY

New perspective as regards the problem of high mining production concentration, considered as a daily production for which the balance between the cost of winning and the revenue from coal selling is reached, including geological-and-mining, technical-and-organizational and economical-and-financial conditions referring to give face, was suggested in the paper.

In a developed economical model required daily production or total costs of coal winning were distinguished as variables which are explained and longwall panel resources and time of mining were distinguished as explaining variables. The other interpenetrating impact factors were parameterized.

A suggested mathod for determination of required daily production, which is an indicator of mining production concentration in the aspect of balancing the total cost of coal winning and the revenue from coal selling, can be used for:

  • determination of mining daily production, which will ensure effective mining, in conditions of a given longwall and with a use of technical equipment available in the mine,

  • determination of longwall panel parameters and determination of mining duration for technical equipment available in the mine,

  • selection of technical equipment which will enable effective mining in conditions of mining duration for technical equipment available in the mine.

  • selection of technical equipment which will enable effective mining in conditions of a give longwall, for assumed total costs of coal winning.
