Safety of the work in face ends

S u m m a r y
Work safety in face ends is described in the paper. Due to an implementation of face end powered roof supports we can expect a significant improvement of work safety, consisting in elimination of the hazards caused by falling rocks and coal blocks as well as in a reduction of work effort.
